Traveling to Inle Lake is like entering a bubble where time has stood still for centuries. It's watching its fishermen work acrobatically in the traditional way and marveling at its floating farms capable of supporting the weight of an adult. Surrounded by the central mountains of Myanmar, it is a source of life for many of the villages on its shores, such as Nyaunshwe, from where fishermen set off in their boats with their enormous baskets, harvest algae from the bottom of the lake, or work on the floating crops.
"By using both hands to fish, the fishermen control their boats by holding the oar with one of their legs"
On its shore, you will also find the largest and most important temple of your trip to Inle Lake: the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, which can be reached on foot or by boat, thanks to the dock in its outer courtyard, making your visit even more special and traditional. It is a temple of enormous importance, housing five statues of Buddha that the faithful cover with gold leaf, so their shapes are no longer distinguishable. Will you try fishing the way the locals do without falling into the water of Inle Lake?

I like to explore off the beaten path, where the known lacks mystery. Traveling alone allows me to discover remote places, enjoy landscapes, and learn from local communities. I am a free spirit who follows his impulses and enjoys every moment, choosing destinations without hesitation, as each place has its own soul.
