Trips to The Haa Valley

Travel to the Haa Valley is to conquer a practically virgin territory; it is to walk, cycle, or climb the twelve temples hidden among its slopes; it is to stop at the Chele-La Pass, breathe the fresh air, and contemplate the Paro Valley from above. Travel to the Haa Valley is to be left speechless at the sight of the highest mountain in Bhutan and the world, the imposing Mount Chomolhari! However, the words soon return to form a: “how is it possible that this gift hasn't been explored yet?”

Thanks to the proximity of Mount Chomolhari, it will be very easy for you to go in search of the elusive snow leopard. Discover a different Buddhism in the Buddhist nunnery, or Bhikshuni, of Kila, at the foot of a cliff and with a privileged landscape. As in all districts of Bhutan, by traveling to the Haa Valley you can visit its own dzong or fortress, which once served to stop Tibetan invasions. In fact, its border nature is such that the Nature Reserve named after the current King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar, stands between the last Bhutanese cities and neighboring China.
